‘Auris’ Sampling Snifters – Set of 4

The speciality crystal ‘Auris’ Sampling Snifters is similar to our regular rum glasses, but they are smaller and without the stem. Similarly, this set of sampler glasses is also designed to get the most out of your favourite rum or whisky, but with their smaller size they are great for sampling different types to make sure your favourite is still your favourite! The wider bowl allows more evaporation of the aromas, and the narrow mouth helps capture them, as the aromas of rum are very sweet they are essential to the tasting experience so the mouth of the glass is a little longer and tulip-like to capture and keep as much of those aromas that make rum so special. There is no stem as one is unlikely to hold the glass long enough to be able to cradle and warm the rum but the shape is very ergonomic and is a delight to hold. The bottom of the glass also features a little raised bump, just to add the the surface area and allow for extra evaporation of aromas, to compensate for the smaller scale of the glass. Of course these ‘Auris’ Sampling Snifters are perfect for whisky too.
